The Lake Cities Chamber of Commerce awarded the Denton-Lake Cities Rotary Club with 2023 BUSINESS OF THE YEAR award!
These were a few of the reasons why we were chosen.....'members of the DLCRC are always willing to help at the events – Daddy Daughter Dance, Bicycle Rally and any other times that we ask. Have either donated funds or purchased sponsorships in both events. They show up and work!
They financially support our Adopt A Teacher Program each year. They are the single largest donor each year. Raising over $126k this past year through their flag program which distributed over 2600 flags throughout our community. These monies are used throughout our community to assist many families and individuals in need.
Recently awarded $8000 to deserving students at graduation and annually give out similar amounts each year.
Receive weekly donations that are passed onto the Lake Cities Food Bank, totally over $500 this past year in 2023.
Annually distribute dictionaries to each 3rd grader in the Lake Dallas ISD.
Participated as a major volunteer in the Serve Lake Cities campaign a few years ago, assisting families that needed help with mowing lawns, painting, minor repairs, etc. Will be a part of this campaign when it starts up again in the near future.
